Noah Bradley’s Art Camp – Week 2

well, this week was all about color studies and imaginary drawing.

I’m not happy with the results of my imaginary paintings and I had to do a lot more but couldn’t make the numbers due to poor time management, but I do feel my color studies is improving a lot.

I’m also working on a master study (which is to copy a famous artist creation as close as I can), so I’ve picked Mary Blair concept art from Peter Pan (Which I hope to finish and post it next week). I really like her stuff. The last thing I did this week was some research on some landscape artists from the old Looney Toons and Disney such as Maurice Noble, Chuck Jones, Phil De Guard and more. I feel very inspired after studying some of this master’s colors and layouts.

I don’t have a lot to show you guys this week, here is a taste of this week work:

Noah Bradley’s Art Camp – Week 1

This week was all about Master studies.

The task was to make 50 three color value studies, 50 color studies and 3 full master studies. this is a lot!

and of course I had a super busy week, so I didn’t got to the goal of 103 drawings. but in my opinion, it doesn’t matter. I still learned a lot and felt that I do improve from every thumbnail I did.

here are some of the studies I did this week:

I’m definitely will continue to do this – and I cant wait for week 2!

and I’ll try to upload here the assignments. so stay tuned!

New Mickey mouse short

Disney is finally decided to bring back the famous mouse back to life in a series of 19 episodes.

The team joined forces with  Emmy® Award-winning artist and director Paul Rudish (Dexter’s Laboratory, The Powerpuff Girls) to give the old mouse a fresh new look.

The shorts will be available on Disney Channel, beginning June 28.

Painted back – A new blog by Avi Katz

My good friend and mentor Avi Katz started a new blog with his recent works.

he takes old black and white photos and revive them by adding color – make them alive just like if the photos were taken today.

And he is doing superb job at it. His work is wonderful and you should definitely watch after his blog.

here are some examples from his recent work:
